Where do you get your graphics? A Linky Party!

I have just recently gotten into buying clip art for the products I make and sell on TpT.  Second Grade Math Maniac is having a Linky party about where you get your graphics from, so I decided to join in.

My first go to clip art store is KPM Doodles.  Cute and CHEAP! On her new website, if you type in the code NEW50 ... you get 50% off.  LOVE!

I also really like the clip art from Scrappin' Doodles, though I do wish they would bundle their blacklines and color clip art together.

For cute backgrounds, I usually use Dreamlike Magic.

And one of my newest favorites is Ashley Hughes on TpT!   I just got a bundle of Thanksgiving clip art that is super cute and has all the images I needed!

For free images, I will use CLKER or My Cute Graphics but there aren't always blacklines, which I generally need when creating worksheets, so those are in rare cases I need something I don't have.

Those are the ones I use - what do you use?  Link up!

Pumpkin / Halloween Centers

I can't believe it's almost Halloween. Time is flying!  We will be studying bats and spiders this coming week.  We will then study Pumpkins and finally Halloween.  I just finished my GINORMOUS Pumpkin/Halloween pack and posted it on TpT.  This unit is packed with 133 pages of ready to laminate centers and lots of supplementary activities.  Stop by and pick it up - I hope you enjoy!   Hope everyone has a great week!

Special Visitors

Guess who came to visit us this morning???  My good friend Joe Price works at Greenville Fire and Rescue.  With this week being Fire Prevention week, I asked him if he would come talk to all the Kindergarten classes!  He has come out to our class for 3 years now!  I am so thankful that even though today was his day off, he brought some firefighter friends out to see us with the truck.

My sweet Kinders in front of the fire truck!

Seeing how fast Firefighter Holland could get dressed!

Firefighter Holland with all his gear on.

Firefighter Holland at the top of the ladder. (They told us it was 75 feet in the air!)  The kids LOVED this part!

They thought it would be fun to get one of the teachers to climb the ladder.  (I was wearing a skirt and had an easy out thank goodness!) Mrs. Alston climbing the ladder.

Firefighter Holland telling us about the different tools on the truck.

It was FREEZING this morning, but we missed the rain and the kids really enjoyed seeing the fire truck and the firefighters.  A special thanks to Joe Price, Lee Avery, Travis Holland and Steve West for taking time out of their day to teach us about Fire Safety!  See you next year!

Positional Words Game and a Freebie!

Now that we are more than half way through the marking period, we are going back to review the objectives we have taught this 9 weeks.  I created a few things to help with our review.

These Play-Doh mats would be great for independent practice, math groups, centers or remediation.

This positional words worksheet is a great way to review these four words to check for understanding.

This game would be great for centers, math groups or independent practice.  Students will sort pictures of the 4 positional words on a sorting mat.

I hope you find them useful!  Don't forget to enter my giveaway and the one at Creation Castle!
