Have you heard??

I went to school today.  I had a TON of stuff to drop off.  I took 3 kids with me.  What.was.I.thinking?  I didn't get a thing accomplished!  Only 3 more days until I have to go back to work....I have mixed emotions.  I am ready to meet my new kids, I am ready to see my teacher friends, I am ready to leave my arguing children behind.  I am NOT ready to get up early.  I am NOT a morning person :) But alas, it's coming whether I want it to or not.  Also, I start classes at ECU on Tuesday.  This will be my first BTS while taking classes of my own.  I can and will do this!

Are you ready for school? I am trying my best to enjoy this last week before I go back.  Blog Hoppin' is hosting a linky party this week that I am planning to participate in some days, but today is a classroom tour and I'm not nearly done and with 3 boys (my 2 kids + my nephew) I'm not going out to school for pictures.  I will blog about it next week :)  Today I just want to let you know that I am participating in a Giveaway over at Elementary School Garden.  The prizes are great!  I am giving away my Brown Bear Unit.

Meet the Teacher

Blog Hoppin' is having a week long linky party!  I am not certain I can participate in all the topics, since I haven't started school yet, but I am going to try to fit in where I can!

On to today's topic:

1. I am married to the sweetest man on Earth. (I'm partial!) We just celebrated our 8th anniversary!!

2. We have 2 children that have made it their Summer mission to drive me insane!! But really, I love them to death!

3. I love pepperoni and pineapple pizza.  Don't knock it til you've tried it!

4. I love to get manicures and pedicures.  Shellac is the best nail polish EVER invented.  Gone are the days of acrylic!  My manicurist has been talking me in to wearing crazy colors and getting designs.

5. I love 80s music!  Thank you Satellite radio and Pandora!

6. I love Nick at Nite! Friends and Full House = Love!

  

7. I also love the Golden Girls!  I love the episode where Rose and Dorothy come up with the Miami song.  "Miami is nice, so I'll say it thrice!" Haha!

8. I love the pool and water slides!  I went to a water park in Indiana with my family this Summer and we went down every single slide, multiple times.  This slide, almost gave me an anxiety attack! Yes, it drops straight down!

9. I love movies! Big is one of my most favorite movies. (Actually, I love any movie with Tom Hanks!) I'd really like to play that Piano :) 

10. I'm addicted to Vera Bradley.  My current favorite pattern is Heather.  My stepmom bought be a blanket when I was visiting in July and I have snuggled up with it all Summer.  LOVE!!  I really want the wallet and purse and...oh well you get the point! :)

Freebie Friday

I'm still here! I had some wonderful ideas for Made It Monday this week that turned out to be epic fails and then I had Kindergarten Assessments Tuesday and Wednesday.  My kids made me feel super guilty, so we spent the past 2 days at the pool!

Five for Friday

It's my first time linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching!  Five for Friday is apparently five random pictures from the week.  Here are mine!

1. Classroom

I headed out to my classroom this week to try and get my furniture in order.  It was hot and sweaty, but its all in place now and I am feeling relieved!

2. Currently Crafting...

I'm working on making this little jewel presentable for my classroom.  I spray painted it in the dark...probably not the best idea. It's a bit splotchy so I need to figure out how to fix that.

3.  Tax Free Weekend

We headed to Old Navy today to grab some uniforms while it was tax free weekend. 

 They offered an extra 10% off $50 or more and we had coupons for $20 off $100 and $10 off $50.  We split our purchases into to and ended up saving over $150!  The best part was that we got 6 pants, 6 shorts, and more than 10 polos for $120!  The boys are set!

4. Movies! 

I was just cleaning out my purse and all of these guys were in there. No wonder I couldn't find my phone in the midst of all of that. We saw Smurfs 2 tonight and we were the only people in the theater.  It was a cute movie, but Despicable Me 2 was by far the best Kid's movie of the Summer!

5.  Pity Party of 1

Yes that's an iPad....yes its in rice.  Insert sad face here.  Our youngest child took his iPad into the bathtub today.  We had no idea so it was submerged for some time before it was found. It was on when we found it but there is definitely water inside.  We are going to wait a few days and then decide what to do next.  He doesn't have a clue what he did!  I'm crossing fingers and toes that it will work perfectly when it dries out.

Currently August

I can NOT believe it is August already!  This summer has flown by!  Time to link up with Oh' Boy 4th Grade!

Listening - My children have finally gone to bed, so I'm watching a movie on TV by myself!

Loving - I don't know what I'm going to do when school starts back - I have seriously been sleeping in!  Most of our days consist of sleeping in, eating breakfast, watching the news and heading to the pool!

Wanting - I haven't been to the beach this Summer!  I have been to the pool plenty of times, but not the beach.  We just haven't made it there.  When you have 2 young kids its a pain to lug all that stuff there and then ride back salty and sandy for 2 1/2 hours.

Thinking - My kids have been arguing all.day.long!  Today was the first day I thought to myself I'd rather be working then at home. (I was NOT meant to be a stay at home mom!)  The boys have been at each other constantly!  I think they are ready for structure and school again too.

Needing - One of the top things on my to-do list for summer was to organize and sell some of my kids toys.  Meanwhile, I haven't touched any of them.  I'm gonna try to bump it up on my list!

B2S Must Haves - All the cute stuff I've made or pinned needs to be printed and laminated! I print everything on card stock for durability!  I like to get the card stock and laminating pouches from Sam's club - they are only $20.68 for 200!! I also get card stock there for only $7.23 for 250 sheets.  Great deal! I use a Scotch laminator - works great!
