Here we go again!

Look familiar?  You may remember when I redid an old school desk for my classroom. So far, the kids LOVE the desk!  The first child sat in it last week for his birthday. We picked Laken for our terrific kid this past week and he will get to choose a day to sit in it this coming week.  When I brought the last desk home, my little one LOVED it!  I was torn between painting it for him or for my classroom, but my heart was set on painting it for the classroom, so I did with the intent to get another one.  I finally found another (for the bargain price of $8) and I picked it up yesterday.  We headed straight to Lowe's to grab some spray paint. I went with Valspar Exotic Sea.

Here's what it looks like with 1 can of spray paint.
It's about a million degrees here in NC today so I felt like I was going to pass out after I finished getting it painted, but I am resting while that coat dries and then I am heading back out to put on the second can.  I am going to paint the top with Rustoluem Chalk Board Paint.  Probably tonight.  More Pics to come!

With 2 Coats of Spray Paint :)

I  added the chalk board paint and my sweet boy's name :) I will have to add at least 1 more coat and then condition the top, but I'm pretty proud of it so far and I know it will be a hit for him!

I'm going to link up with Monday Made it at 4th grade Frolics even though I posted a little early :)
