Valentine's Day Fun

Poor Valentine's Day really got the shaft this year.  Due to all the snow days, delays and early releases...we are so far behind.  I decided that Friday, February 14th was going to be all about Valentine's Day fun.  (I have also decided to just let the lessons we've missed go and move forward!)

I don't like to call our functions parties, but there is always some learning, crafts and fun involved.  The kids really enjoy getting to do all sorts of activities and though it is a lot of work, it's pretty rewarding to see how much fun they had.

Decorating Sugar Cookies - Sugar Cookies, Vanilla Icing, Craft Sticks & Sprinkles

Valentine's Cards - Because who doesn't love glitter?

Tissue Paper Hearts

Handprint Poem - Pure sweetness and a keepsake forever!

Our Valentine's Bags

Checking out our Valentine's.  I told them they could open one candy...what do you think most of them chose? FUN DIP! It was like a confetti party...with sugar.  How I do love these kids though :)

So glad we had a good time for Valentine's Day, but ready to start fresh on Monday with a little less excitement for a few days! :)  How did your Valentine's festivities go?

Valentines

Anyone else plagued by what to get their kids for Valentine's Day?  I want to get them something cute and I can never find just what I want at the store.  I was at Walmart the other night and searched around for the perfect item and stumbled across some Valentine Blow Pops.  Blow Pops are fun because the kids are never allowed to have gum, so I grabbed them.  When I got home, I discovered they didn't have a card to go with them, so I whipped these up:

All you have to do is print on cardstock, cut it 4, punch a hole in the corner, and tape the Blow Pop to the back.

Simple right? You could also use these with Bubbles or Bubble Gum.  These are free in my TpT store so grab them if you need a last minute idea! :)

What are you giving your kids for Valentine's Day?

Lessons from the Heart Ebook

It's February friends! Can you believe it?? January went out with a bang here in NC - 4 snow days! I haven't had 4 snow days in all my years teaching, let alone all in one week.  I can't wait to get back to school next week and see how my Kinders enjoyed the snow.

Some blogger friends and I have teamed up to provide you with some awesome Freebies to help get you through the month of February in our very first "Lessons from the Heart EBook."

If you are familiar with the Christmas EBook's found on TpT, this book was created in a similar fashion. Each blogger has a page featuring their freebie and some information about them. All of these freebie are housed on Google Docs or Drop Box instead of TpT though.

The product I have featured in this EBook is my "Perfectly "Pieced" Together!" Valentine's CVC Puzzles.  This is the only place you can find them for free and they are simply too cute to pass up.  These are perfect for matching pictures that rhyme, recording CVC words and so much more.

So are you ready to download the Lessons from the Heart EBook? What are you waiting for?

I would "love" your feedback if you enjoy my product from the EBook.  Leave a comment below to let me know if you like it! :)

Happy Saturday!
